header in AsctoPdf - 6/11/2007 8:48:13 PM

Hello,
I have sucessfully managed to covert the file from text to pdf. However, since the file has page numbers, during the conversion process, the page numbers are displayed as a header and footer. I would like to remove these headers and footers. Could you please tell me how this can be accomplished easily?

Thank you,
B

There are two new policies that control this behaviour.  You can't (yet) change them through the GUI, but if you edit your policy file and add the lines

   PDF page header        : (None)
   PDF page footer         : (None)

Then the header and footer added by AscToPDF (in the registered version) will be removed.  I think the most recent version online should support these options, but if you have any problems email me and I will get a version to you that does.

Although policy files have a .pol extension, they're actually just text files, with one "policy" per line.  So if you have a policy file you can simply open it up in a text editor such as NotePad and add the necessary lines.

If you don't have a policy file you can either create one from scratch, or use the File menu to save your options to a policy file (only save the "Changed" options if you do this - this should be the default option in any case).

You should then specify this policy file in the "load policy file" option at the bottom of the screen next time you run the program.  If this box isn't subsequently filled in automatically you should be able to see recently used policy files in the drop down list, and on the Settings menu check "remmeber settings on exit" for the software to remember your choice each time it runs.
