Version 0.9 of AscToPDF is now available to the public to download from the JafSoft web site at http://www.jafsoft.com/asctopdf/

AscToPDF is a text to PDF converter based on the same text analysis engine as AscToHTM and AscToRTF. At present the software's ability to analyse text outstrips the ability to replicate those features in PDF (for example tables are simply output in a fixed pitch font, rather than properly laid out).

That said even in this primitive form AscToPDF produces better looking PDF than most rival products

Hence this is a 0.9 release, rather than a 1.0 release. Once the software stabalises it will be released as version 1.0 and officially announced. During this introductory period the software will be priced at $40 and anyone who registers will be given a free upgrade to version 1.0 when that is released. the full price for version 1.0 is expected to be in the $80 region.
